Prof. Dr. Topo Santoso is a distinguished Indonesian legal scholar and criminal law expert with over 30 years of academic and professional experience. He earned his Bachelor and Master of Law degrees from Universitas Indonesia and a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Malaya. Since 1994, he has served as a permanent lecturer at Universitas Indonesia and was Dean of its Faculty of Law (2013–2017). He has played a key role in Indonesia's legal reform, including the National Criminal Code, judicial advisory bodies, and constitutional litigation, while authoring numerous influential books and international publications.
